AKW Global Logistics is part of the Kinaxia Group of Companies and encompasses distribution, warehousing, packaging customisation and international freight services. AKW has been established for over 50 years and has consistently invested in warehousing facilities and transport vehicles.
As part of this measured growth strategy the company acquired and additional warehouse in Trafford Park in the North West of England for a specific contract.
Avanta UK Ltd successfully tendered for the warehouse racking required and associated barriers. The contract also included a full length 130m long rear fall arrest back of rack net.
Avanta UK Ltd designed, supplied and installed a UK Manufactured pallet racking system in a wide aisle configuration giving the client circa 7,000 pallet positions. The racking is of a medium duty to support 500KG pallets over 3,4 and 5 levels. Aisle length is 130m.
Advantages of a locally sourced racking system includes the availability of spares for when and if the system needs adding to and / or reconfiguring.
The project took 6 weeks to complete including 3 weeks manufacture and 3 weeks installation.
