AMR Mezzanine floors from Avanta UK are a variation of a standard mezzanine floor. Designed and engineered for the safe smooth operation of AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) or AGV ( Automated Guided Vehicles) in a warehouse environment.
Avanta UK Ltd is a leading UK based workspace and storage equipment provider
Specialising in mezzanine floors to create an environment for autonomous mobile robots. Perfect for ecommerce specialists who need single pick items on a shelf to person basis, saving you time and money.
Whether the AMR is picking pallets, shelving bays or individual totes the Avanta mezzanine floor system is engineered to ensure a safe quiet operation of the robotics.
The Avanta turnkey solution can include the design, supply, and installation of a robust strengthened multi-level mezzanine floor with a smooth, light coloured flat coated water-resistant surface and compliant machine mesh guarding complete with access control.
As part of our end-to-end service, we work closely with your robotic provider, and this can include laying the grid and commission the robots.
Avanta UK can provide you with a full Principal Contractor role plus ancillary products and services including heating / cooling, lighting, shelving, chutes and much more.
Benefits of the Avanta AMR Mezzanine Floor
- Strengthened mezzanine floor means anti vibration meaning noise reduction – Anti-Squeal
- Hard wearing RobotFloor Surface is backed by the world’s largest floor coatings manufacturer
- Antistatic coating on high specification boards – prevent static build up in the robot
- Anti-slip surface
- Water resistance. Think defective sprinklers think insurance. Think cleaning.
- Anti-leak – think about the risk of water ingress on multilevel floor with water cascading down to other levels – not with our coating.
Benefits of the Avanta Robotfloor Resin Surface Solution
- No gaps with smooth continuous finish versus rubber tiles
- Does not rip up
- Tyre marks easy to clean
- Energy saving. Think lighting. Light coloured.
- Proven to last with sites in the UK with the biggest retailers
Other AMR Mezzanine Floor Surfaces to Consider
ResinDek
A precoated hard wearing MDF board system. ResinDek panels are formulated in different thicknesses and densities to meet the requirements of varying load capacities. The panels can be used on mezzanines or on the ground for robotic traffic. Depending upon the application the ResinDek panel can be used as a single panel solution or with a corrugated metal deck.
ResinDek floors provide a consistent finish in floor flatness, levelness and surface roughness. Worn or uneven surfaces can disrupt the functioning of the vehicle’s laser-based navigation sensors, slowing down its rate of travel. ResinDek panels ensure a level flooring surface with just the right amount of surface roughness to avoid the impairment of a robot’s navigation or slow its movement.
ResinDek panels do not produce dust, require sealing or crack like concrete. Unlike concrete, ResinDek does not require large expansion joints. In addition, individual panels can be removed without having to refinish an entire floor.
Interlocking Mezzanine Floor Tiles
Hardwearing 4mm to 9mm thick smooth interlocking rubber floor tiles either loose laid or bonded can provide a surface for robots to operate.
The hard wearing textured floor tile range of industrial interlocking floor tiles are loose lay, quick and easy install and require minimal subfloor preparation. They are made from hardwearing PVC material that can withstand high point loading and impact.
These floor tiles can come in ESD and non ESD versions.
AMR Mezzanine Perimeter Mesh Fencing
The Avanta Mesh Guard edge protection system adds an extra layer of protection and peace of mind.
Available in heights from 1400mm to 2200mm with a mesh aperture of 50mm x 50mm to arrest the fall of objects.
Compliant with Machine Guarding Directives, this system also offers a variety of access control options with sliding or swing gate access.
Mezzanine Floor Spiral Chutes
Can be integrated into a single or multi-level mezzanine floor via cut outs within the floor or fixed to the perimeter. Chutes assist the AMR when decanting single of multiple items to a picker or packer on the level below.
Mezzanine spiral chutes are a modular construction providing a constant and predictable speed of descent for boxes, packets and other items whilst preventing damage to the goods.
Powered by gravity alone with no moving parts, chutes cost nothing to run with virtually no maintenance.
