Large Pallet Racking Installation For Leading 3PL Provider

A leading Nationwide Supply Chain Management Services company has opened a 6th UK Distribution Centre.

The new North West site has over 6000 pallet spaces with the pallet racking designed, supplied and installed by storage equipment specialist Avanta UK Ltd to provide clients safe secure storage.

The racking is configured with 1794 in low bays for fast moving lines and 4296 in high bay.

As well as the 5 existing sites in the UK, the company also operate in client sites handling in excess of 9 million cases per annum.  The company has grown and now employs over 350 people.

The wide aisle pallet racking was supplied with RAL3020 Poppy Red Beams to match corporate colours. The scope of the supply included appropriate rack protection with 40x end of bay barriers and rack signage to SEMA guidelines. All components involved in this project were manufactured in the UK which means there is continuity of supply if the racking needs extending or re-configuring.  The racking was delivered in phases and all works were completed on time.
