Enquiry

Prior to appointment by the client in the tendering process we enter the Enquiry stage.

We will endeavour to interpret client needs diligently and utilising our experience we can make appropriate suggestions that may lead to cost savings, improved performance etc.

From the initial ideas we can offer expertise and insight to help you make the right decision.

Information can be gathered from a detailed site survey, architect or client drawing, site or Teams meeting etc. Potentially a combination of the afore mentioned or formalised Brief.

Design

Whether it is space planning an office interior, creating extra pallet storage density in a warehouse, or increasing the product throughput in a factory.
Our design service includes 2D and 3D CAD Layouts showing you how to maximise your available space.
Entering the design phase, we refine the design by collaborating with the:

  • Client
  • Specifiers
  • Contractors / Subcontractors
  • Suppliers
  • Designers / Architects
  • Collaborators & Partners including Automation, Handling Equipment Companies

The Avanta design process will have building control regulations and fire engineered solutions at the heart of the design, construction and / or alterations of the project.

Proposal

Including CAD designs and a detailed quotations, revisions, and re-design. This will include price, lead-time, areas of responsibility, terms, and everything you need to know to aid your decision.

Appointment

Once appointed we can prepare for the Avanta Principal Contractor Role, and this could include:

Pre – Site Set Up

  • Secondary Surveys – check surveys
  • Amend CAD drawings etc.
  • Appoint Project Managers, Site Managers
  • Place orders with pre-selected suppliers, sub-contractors & collaborators
  • If required appoint Building Control and investigate fire regulations etc.

Site Set Up

  • Pre-start meeting at the Client site to understand the full logistics and the management required.
  • Review of the Client proposed contractors and their scope of works.
  • Site survey to understand the orientation and access requirement for the works.
  • Preparation and distribution of the draft / pre-site ‘Construction Phase Plan’ (CPP).
  • Comment review updates of the draft CPP.
  • Preparation of site-specific induction documentation and contractor information.
  • Pre-site start RAMS review for initial contractors.
  • Handling any Q&A’s from the Client and / or Sub Contractors Pre-site start
  • Full site set up including labour costs for installing Heras fencing, smoking areas, parking areas, waste areas, sign in/out area, welfare facilities etc.
  • Includes a budget cost for Heras fencing, vehicle and pedestrian gates, signage etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Principal Contractor Cover (PC Cover)

As Avanta take ownership of the site or site area for health and safety PC Cover involves:

  • Usually working days Monday – Friday between 07:00 -17:00, but can be tailored to suit the Clients needs.
  • Full CDM 2015 site compliance control & management as require by the regulations.
  • Daily and weekly contractor [& Client] meetings with minutes as required.
  • Administration & maintenance of site daily and weekly records.
  • Regular, site-specific toolbox talks.
  • SMSTS qualified PC Site Manager.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Emergency first aider.
  • Public liability insurance £10M.
  • All PPE and site clothing.
  • Review and maintenance of the site H&S file and CPP.
  • Liaison with site operations and loss prevention daily.
  • Assistance with full site project management.
  • External health and safety audits (3-month intervals).
  • External health and safety consultations (when required).

ISO Audit

As part of our ISO9001:2015 quality standard we are audited on CDM on a quarterly basis.

Completion

On completion our clients we provide manuals, as built drawings, service warranties and maintenance plans.

After Care

We are confident in all our product selections and manufacturing partners selected and we also offer further technical support and maintenance if required.
