Avanta UK Ltd, the Leeds-based Storage Equipment and Interior Fit-Out Specialist, is proud to celebrate 25 years of incorporation.
Formed in 2000 through the merger of two West Yorkshire businesses—Castleford’s Abacus Storage and Bradford’s Pennine Storage—the new company relocated to the Northern Powerhouse of Leeds.
Specialising in the design, supply, and installation of pallet racking, shelving, mezzanine floors, partitions, and associated fit-out projects, Avanta has grown significantly over the past 25 years. Today, we work on large-scale projects with a diverse client base, including Next, Jet2, TK Maxx, Meggitt, Brenntag, and many more across the UK.
Our strong relationships with manufacturing and supply partners have enabled us to provide a full turnkey solution, including electrical and mechanical works. In essence, Avanta is a one-stop shop for multi-site clients.
Despite economic recessions, Avanta has maintained steady growth over the past 25 years. With the rise of internet retail, new warehouse builds, reorganisation, and evolving technologies, our Senior Management Team is excited about the next 25 years.
Whether creating the right workplace environment for robot picking or providing returns shelving with thousands of locations for internet retailers, Avanta has developed numerous solutions. Over this period, we have invested heavily in time and money, working with end-users to maximise their workspace and productivity. Good workspace management solutions are built on strong relationships—from end-user to architect/specifier. It’s about creating a partnership, not just hiring a supplier.
With ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications, along with SafeContractor, Constructionline, and CHAS accreditations, and the relevant insurances, Avanta is well-equipped to undertake large-scale projects requiring CDM. We have built an experienced team of trained professionals and hold an enviable reputation across the sector, working as a Principal Contractor.
Following a successful two-step management buyout by a team of existing employees, Avanta looks forward to the future. Our collaboration with The Leeds Hospitals Charity ensures we make a meaningful contribution to the lives of others.
