Avanta UK Ltd have completed their second steel partitioning project for a Royal National Hospital based in the UK.
This project involved designing and installing 4 runs of Elan double skin steel partitioning with steel and glass panels. The runs required various framed openings for a specific sliding door arrangement provided by another manufacturer.
Elan double skin fire rated partitioning is of monobloc construction with two steel skins separated by a mineral wool infill. Removable skirting and vertical junction channels give access for wiring. Special heavy duty top capping is supplied for lineal stability, additional strength coming from 50mm x 50mm (up to 3657mm high) RHS mullions fixed to the floor with countersunk M10 expansion bolts through a 200mm long baseplate. Adjustable wall fillers allow for small size variations in run lengths. In partially glazed panels clip-on glazing beads can accommodate glass up to 6mm thick (glazing types to suit fire certification)
The finished steel partitioning system is finished powder coated white RAL9010.
The installation took place within 8 working days after the manufacture lead time.
