UPDATE APRIL 17th
With the Government announcement on the 16th April stating that the current lock down situation will continue for a further 3 weeks, the majority of office staff are continuing to work from home and all installation works are continuing where it is safe to do so - observing fully Government Guidelines.
A good percentage of our factories and suppliers are now back in production now to support the continuity of supply of racking, partitions, mezzanines etc.
We will update you as the situation develops.
April 2020
The sales and contracts teams at Avanta UK Ltd have adopted remote work as and where appropriate. Certain projects have been paused and others deemed essential are currently undertaken within Government guidelines.
For new projects undertaken from April 2020 we have adopted the following policy and we are constantly reviewing the situation: -
Avanta UK Ltd is determined to follow the UK Government advice on working through the current difficulties, caused by Coronavirus pandemic, or COVID-19 virus.
To help us meet our statutory health and safety obligations and the most recent advice given by the UK Government www.gov.uk/coronavirus
Supply of Goods
Avanta UK Ltd is an independent company with 20 years experience in designing and sourcing equipment. Therefore we do not just have one factory or supplier in order to keep continuity of supply.
Long term partnership arrangements and rigorous appraisal of our portfolio of extensive manufacturing partners ensures that our clients have access to high quality and competitively priced standard and non-standard products.
In the current climate it is not only suppliers of product that we manage but suppliers of handling equipment, delivery companies and labour in order to carry out specified works as safely as possible.
Installing Our Products – Protecting Our Workforce & Clients
Avanta UK construction sites operating during the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic need to ensure they are protecting their workforce and minimising the risk of spread of infection.
This guidance is intended to introduce consistent measures on sites of all sizes in line with the Government’s recommendations on social distancing.
The health and safety requirements of any construction activity must also not be compromised at this time. If an activity cannot be undertaken safely due to a lack of suitably qualified personnel being available or social distancing being implemented, it should not take place.
We are aware that emergency services are also under great pressure and may not be in a position to respond as quickly as usual.
Sites should remind the workforce at every opportunity of the Site Operating Procedures which are aimed at protecting them, their colleagues, their families and the UK population.
